  1. Rinse the brussel sprouts and cut them in halves
  2. Cut the bacon in short slices and set aside
  3. Bring to medium heat a cast iron or double bottom skillet with the olive oil
  4. Add the bacon slices and cook until crispy, light brown and slightly crusty
  5. Add the brussel sprouts and the chicken broth and stir occasionally
  6. Cook for 30 minutes on medium heat or until the brussel sprouts are tender but not mushy; *do not overcook the brussel sprouts* or they will get bitter
